ActiveX Error 429

The most common problem that particularly users of Windows 2000 and 98 had to face, is caused by the incorrect or missing registration of some important components, which Menu Inventor relies on. But enough of technical gibberish, here's how to solve it:

  1. Download Comdlg32.ocx into the same folder as you have Menu Inventor (C:\Menu Inventor\ by default).
  2. Download reg_component.bat into the same folder and run. A message box should inform it has successfully registered Comdlg32.exe...
  3. Re-run Menu Inventor. Voilà!

v1.1

The solution will be implemented into the setup file from version 1.1. You won't have to face this problem again.
