Micron Developers have decided to diversify their offered services and that is why we are stretching our specialisation from software development to aerospace design and developement activities.
This is our first aerospace project. Your opinions are highly appreciated. This projected is being carried out in co-operation with Marek Havel who is one of the designers of the aircraft.
ISIS is a Czech projected aerotaxi jet aircraft that is supposed to be a solution for regional, less dense and less frequently used routes that are financially unattractive for airlines to be operated. The aircraft's unique design with one jet engine (located at the back) will enable it to fly fast between individual routes and be quickly available for use according to operator's needs. ISIS's one-engine design also makes the airplane more cost effective for operation and maintenance.
ISIS is designed to carry a maximum of 10 passengers and 2 crew members (1 pilot, 1 co-pilot/steward).
The aircraft is also intended to be equipped with a portable "in plane check-in" device that will be linked through wireless internet connection with the airlines central computerised air-ticketing system and will enable the crew to carry out reservation, check-in and boarding tasks even at airports which are unable to provide these services; this decreases the operation costs as these services won't be included in to the airports' taxes. The crew will also be able to be in contact with the airline's headquarters and have the ability to respond quickly according to the demand.
